BDO Ukraine has signed with Hubsphere, one of Europe’s leading providers of online energy and carbon management software, to implement its sustainability performance management (SPM) software across its four offices with the aim is to measure, manage and improve BDO’s sustainability performance.
Although focused on mapping operational carbon emissions from energy, water, waste, paper and transport, BDO wants to broaden its application to include tracking the value of its community investment as well as health and safety parameters.
The project will help BDO Ukraine to meet its commitments regarding environmental responsibility, allowing the company to effectively oversee and evaluate their environmental programs. BDO, a UN Global Compact member, was one of the very first companies to sign up to the UN ‘Go Green’ Declaration in Ukraine in 2008, joining another 250 environmental leaders around the world. This pledge to promote the sustainability agenda within corporate practice, as well as many of our own commitments, has prompted BDO to purchase Hubsphere Evolution, so ensuring that their programs are well documented and communicated.
As part of the sustainability solutions suite BDO is now able to offer business of any size and sector the opportunity to start measuring and managing their energy costs and provide an automatic carbon footprint for the business operations including business travel, water and paper. A user friendly dashboard provides figures, graphs and trends at a glance to help managers and employees to find energy efficiencies that cut carbon and save money.
