NewsBDO in Ukraine held awarding ceremonies for the second stage winners of Scholarship Program22/02/2012
Winners were announced of the contest of practical case studies 2011/2012 academic year, held within the framework of the scholarship program of BDO Ukraine. The results were announced at awards ceremonies held by the company at universities of Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk. It should be reminded that the purpose of this three-year program is to help students develop their potential, to contribute to their professional growth, to bring practical experience of BDO in Ukraine into theoretical education.
We are happy to witness this year an increased number of universities that have joined the program, as well as the number of participants in each university. Representatives of university administrations have expressed their wish to further strengthen this partnership.
This year's task is noticeably more complex compared to the previous year, when participants were asked to write an essay on one of the topics at choice. This time students solved a practical case study, which contained real source data on the enterprise and that allowed them to fully feel like an expert.
The greatest number of students who participated in the competition was from the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy". In addition, a student of this very university scored the highest number of points. It also should be noted that at the Kiev National Economic University n.a. V. Getman the gap between winners' scores was so insignificant that the company decided to award three third places.
Each winner received a cash prize, a gift from the book partner of the contest - Balance Business Books publishing house, as well as a certificate for an internship with BDO in Ukraine.
